I went with the shop recommended Motul 5100 15W50 oil & Vesrah oil filter. It was a pain in the a$$ getting off the old oil filter - the oil wrench I was using (see pic) wasn't cutting it.

You can't see inside one so bypass could be stuck open etc. Heat does crazy things. If you wanna run a cheaper filter just change oil sooner. there's nothing wrong with ...

Some people say to go with fully synthetic ones, some say motul and some say fully synthetic will slide your clutch. Apr 5, 2015 · Possibly, the normal cause for oil fouling is worn valve guides and/or rings. In any case a different heat range won't help. You can't go wrong with the NGK Iridiums but there is an underlying problem that needs to be fixed.
A less common possibility are the frost plugs in the head. But when they go, there's normally a bunch of coolant in the oil, which will look like thick chocolate milk. I use Motul 5100 or 300V depending on how rich I am at the time. Buy the best oil you can afford, that's the general guideline. Pour in 2.8 liters without a filter change, or 3.2 liters with a new filter.
