The Jetta is more agile and nimble than the Passat. It will probably have a more "sporty" feel to it where as the Passat is more refined and has a softer suspension. I look at the Passat as the big mature brother to the Jetta. So it kind of comes down to what you're looking for. I have a 2016 Jetta SE and I think it's a great car!
